Catch and Release
At Sport Fish Panama Island Lodge, we believe that healthy fisheries are the foundation of our experience. We are committed to conservation.
We practice catch and release of all billfish (black marlin, blue marlin and sailfish) as well as cubera snapper and roosterfish. We use circle hooks when targeting these species with live or dead bait. Circle hooks greatly improve the survival rate of fish that are caught and released.
In addition to practicing catch and release, we proudly support a number of conservation organizations, including the International Game Fish Association, the Safari Club International, the Dallas Safari Club, and others.
