Many anglers come to fish with us for the express purpose of catching a roosterfish. Checking the box on one of these wonderful animals is bucket list material.
We target roosterfish around islands, submerged rocks, and high spots. We catch some of our big roosterfish trolling live bonito. We catch lots of them on live blue runners and goggle eyes.
This is also a great place to target them on poppers. The sight of a roosterfish crest knifing behind topwater will stick with you.
Any day you catch a roosterfish is a good day– no matter how you catch it. We release all of the roosterfish that we catch.
