When planning a trip to Panama, many people only think about visiting the mainland, which has a lot to offer in terms of culture, history, and cuisine. But there are also some amazing islands off the Panamanian coast too, including Isla Paridas.

Here is some information about where our Panama sport fishing lodge is located on Isla Paridas Chiriquí and the best ways to experience this remote and beautiful region.

The Location of Isla Paridas

Isla Paridas is the largest island in Panama’s Chiriquí Gulf National Marine Park and a protected piece of land known for its wildlife population. You can get here with a 30-minute (12-mile) boat ride from Boca Chica following an hour ride from David’s port of Pedregal.

The Isla Paridas is special because of its stunning palm tree-lined beaches, white sands, and serene atmosphere. The beaches here are home to turtles and seabirds, while the protected ecosystem features everything from mangrove swamps to marine meadows and coral reefs. Sport fishing is the big draw for tourism in this region and a thriving and sustainable industry we are proud to be a part of.

Advantages of Our Isla Paridas Lodge

We are pleased to call Isla Paridas the home of our sport fishing lodge and near some of the best fishing spots in the entire world. Our lodge at this Gulf of Chiriquí destination is surrounded by miles of rocky coastline.

Something that gives our lodge a big advantage over the lodges on the mainland is that we are 45 minutes closer to the fishing hotspots at Isla Montuosa and Hannibal Bank. This means more fishing time for you and less time spent on transportation and logistics. Better yet, there are some great inshore fishing opportunities right here at Isla Paridas too!

Details About Our Island Lodge

When you stay at our sport fishing lodge, you’ll get a remote, tropical paradise experience that’s a self-contained hideaway. We are off-the-grid but offer luxurious accommodations that include tropical hardwood furniture, sofas, flat-screen TVs, Wi-Fi, stereo systems, air conditioning, and stocked beverage refrigerators.

We have three private guest houses at our lodge – two of them with three bedrooms and one of them with two bedrooms. All of the guest houses have amazing views of the ocean and come with access to kayaks that you can use to explore the island at your own pace. You might even want to bring your own snorkeling equipment to get into the water and view the sea life living down below the water’s surface.
