Nov 22-23/2015 Panama Fishing Report – Great guys and avid fishermen Steve Inacker from Florida came with his son Steve and son in law Doug for four days of serious fishing on their Panama fishing trip with us here November 20-23. We are the closest fishing lodge in Panama to the offshore action at Hannibal Bank and Isla Montuosa. A thirty minute boat ride (12 miles) from Boca Chica, and a one hour ride from David’s port of Pedregal, brings you to the largest island in the chain…Isla Paridas. No big industrial commercial fishing operations, and governmental protection of all billfish are a few of the reasons why fishing Panama is so great. Tell your friends!
We ran into some weather the first couple of days as the rainy season is coming to an end here in Panama. The seas weren’t bad but it was a bit wet. It didn’t really matter though…as the fishing was good!
Nov 22-23/2015 Panama Fishing Report con’t – We had some real good luck with the Dorados! Each day offshore we came across floating logs that were loaded with BIG Dorados. We had a triple header on the second day with fish all over 25 pounds…and caught them all! It was a pure “Chinese Fire Drill” as we pulled up to the log…sight casted to the Dorados and pegged them with live baits and on a popper! Live action! And all on light tackle Shimano Sargosa 5000 and Terez rod setups! These guys were also into casting and working the variety of brand new Yo-Zuri swim baits/poppers we have on board. And it paid off! We caught and released many different species on their Panama fishing trip with the Yo-Zuris including Dorado, Blue Trevalle, Yellowfin Tuna, Horse-eye Jack, Rock Snapper, Needlefish, Jack Crevalle, Mullet Snapper, Rainbow Runner, and Roosterfish! Enjoy the pics…
