Our Jan/2019 Panama Fishing Report highlights the beginning of our busiest part of our fishing season at the lodge. Many of our clients are from up north and are looking for a break from the cold weather. The weather in Panama in January tends to be super nice with perfect conditions…sunny skies, warm temperatures, and smooth seas.

Oh…and the fishing is great too! This Jan/2019 Panama Fishing Report reflects just how great a January in Panama can be. As usual this time of year we had smooth runs out to the spots at Hannibal Bank and Isla Moutuosa looking for Marlin and running across logs or debris lines that were holding big Dorados on the way.

The action offshore was great as the water temperature remains cool. In addition concentrations of different types of baits are starting to stack up here in the Gulf of Chiriqui.  Bringing with them the pelagics in tow!  We had lots of big Dorados around and very aggressive. In addition the Yellowfin Tunas decided to show back up a bit early..and in numbers!

Everything went great with some pretty consistent fishing both inshore and off.  Once again our clients seemed to really be enjoying themselves and the good times!

Great catches of everything including a bunch of nice Mullet Snapper which tend to be real good this time of year as well. Check out all the great pics….

Thanks for visiting our website and reading our Jan/2019 Panama Fishing Report.  We appreciate any and all questions or comments.
